Privacy Policy

Account details you provide — your name, email address, and home/property address.

Project content you upload — photos, videos, documents (such as quotes and contracts), voice notes, and text notes about your property and renovation.

Usage and device data needed to run and secure the service — for example, basic logs, IP address, device/browser type, and the AI requests you make (we cap AI usage per account to control cost and abuse).

We use your information to provide and operate Home Brain AI: to build your project profile, analyze contractor quotes and documents, run Project Guardian and DIY reviews, answer your project questions, secure and troubleshoot the service, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train third-party AI models.

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the product is used (for example, which pages are visited and where people drop off) so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies or analytics.

To provide the service we share data with a small set of providers (subprocessors) who process it on our behalf under contract:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — receives the content you submit for analysis and returns results. Data sent through Anthropic’s API is not used to train its models.
• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage for your account, data, and uploads.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

We will update this list as our providers change.

We share personal information only: (a) with the service providers listed above to operate the service; (b) when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Home Brain AI; and (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers. Access to your projects is restricted to your account through database row-level security, and uploaded files are kept in private storage that is not publicly listable. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulators as required by applicable law.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. When you delete content or your account, we remove it from active systems; residual copies in backups age out on a rolling basis.

You can view and edit your profile, delete individual projects and their evidence, and request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at support@homebrain.ai. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request access to or deletion of that information, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” (for cross-context behavioral advertising) your personal information. To make a request, email support@homebrain.ai; we may need to verify your identity before responding.

Home Brain AI is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Home Brain AI is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. If you access the service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
